Winter Storm Shelter Updates

The Coalition for the Homeless has received information on the following warming centers being opened in the midst of the winter storm. We will update this list as more information becomes available.
  • Bread of Life – 1703 Gray Street, Houston, TX 77003
  • South Main Baptist Church – 4100 South Main, Houston, TX 77002
  • Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church – 2801 Conti Street, Houston, TX 77020
  • Sobering Center – 150 N Chenevert Street, Houston, TX 77002
In addition to these warming centers, local emergency shelters are open and accepting anyone who wants to get inside from the inclement weather. Click here to view the Street Guide with shelter information.

As lead agency to The Way Home Continuum of Care (CoC), CFTH is working with local governmental entities to advocate on behalf of people experiencing homelessness to ensure their needs are being considered as winter weather affects our region.
