The Foundation Behind the Solution. Where Stability Begins.
In Uncertain Times, We Need a Steady Foundation
A cornerstone is the first and most essential part of a foundation—everything else is built upon it. If it's strong, the structure holds. If it cracks, everything is at risk.
At the Coalition for the Homeless of Houston/Harris County (CFTH), we know that ending homelessness requires more than a bold vision—it demands a system that can hold steady through uncertainty, disruptions, and pressure. From shifting policies to capacity strain, we face constant challenges that can slow progress if we’re not anchored by reliable support.
Meet The Cornerstone Project
The Cornerstone Project is our monthly giving program that provides vital, consistent support. It ensures that Houston's homeless response system stays strong even when federal funding is unpredictable, resources are limited, or housing costs are rising.
Your gift powers the system that powers the solution. That means:

Keeping outreach workers connected to people living unsheltered

Strengthening collaboration across providers so no one falls through the cracks

Ensuring real-time data drives decisions that move people from crisis to stability
It’s the steady support behind our system’s goal:
Equilibrium → A safe place to sleep tonight, and a path to lasting stability within 90 days.
