Coordinated Entry
The first step to getting housing is to complete a Coordinated Entry (CE) assessment with the provider you are receiving services with to determine your eligibility for programs of The Way Home CoC. Programs of The Way Home consist of diversion, permanent housing programs, and/or other supportive services offered by our partners. Individuals must be experiencing literal homelessness in Harris, Fort Bend or Montgomery County region to engage with Coordinated Entry.
The CE Process is a collaborative approach designed to coordinate program participant intake, assessments, prioritization, and, if eligible, referrals to housing in the most efficient way possible. It involves a standardized assessment, used by all partners of the way home, to determine available housing and/or income intervention. The assessment can be accessed through engagement with a homeless service provider of The Way Home; criteria may be different by location. It is important to note, neither housing nor services are guaranteed.
